Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, you made such a diverse array of living creatures. When I look at the animals I see every shape and size from carnivore to the powerful water-ox that eats grass. I can’t believe what a fantastic imagination could come up with such creativity. It is the same way with man. They come in all shapes and sizes with different temperaments and giftings. You created them all. You gave them life and caused them to reproduce after their own kind so every species could sustain itself through the decades, you made life a fascinating adventure with so much to explore and experience; So many cultures and diversity born out of the heart of a limitless God. I love your sense of humor when I see the mischief of the monkeys, or your elegance with the sleekness of the panther, and the power of the behemoth. And then there is me. There are no two fingerprints alike and every living creature is unique. Your creativity is unparalleled. One word from you and the world was created. You did this all for me. You gave Adam authority to tend your garden and you have redeemed me to understand what that lost authority means today. Give me the wisdom I need to care for the environment you have placed me in, in Jesus name, amen.
