Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, thank you for the examples of great men and women of faith who make every effort to live and walk in obedience to you. They are examples of extraordinary faith. Their example inspires me in my walk with you. Jonathan and Saul were mighty warriors and were united in battle and in death. I am united with you Lord in this life and will be again after death. You broke deaths power over me and I will rise to live with you forever. Lord, I pray for your strength, vision, and conviction to follow you and be an example of your love to others. Help me, Lord, to smile and forgive when I am reviled; please help me love the unlovely, assist the destitute, be patient and kind when others misunderstand me, and be quick to forgive when I feel offended. Let me be your instrument of healing among people and nations on this earth Lord. When I fall short, forgive me and help others understand I am human and in process so they can hopefully forgive me too. Lord, please keep me humble so I never feel better than anyone else. I am a flawed sinner Lord and that is why I need you. You are the perfect savior and example of love and forgiveness, patience and gentleness, wisdom and understanding. You are the one I want others to look to and know that you will never disappoint them. Glory to You Lord!
In Jesus name, Amen.
