The prayer
Written prayerHeavenly Father, open my understanding so I can comprehend the depth of your words. There are so many things I read in the Bible but don’t fully understand. There are things I think I understand but am still puzzled by. I know your ways are higher than mine so I need you to help me break out of my limited understanding and embrace the supernatural revelation of your word. I can’t imagine what these women thought when they went to the tomb and saw the stone rolled away and the body of Jesus gone. They must have been shocked yet, Jesus told them he must die but would rise again before he entered into his glory. His followers believed he was the son of God and they had seen him raise the dead and instead of rejoicing at the fulfillment of those words they were frightened and bewildered. How easy it is to forget the words of Christ in the midst of our crisis when I need them most. If I truly believed in my heart and not just my head the words of Christ I would not be shocked at anything Jesus does because I would be walking on water and living the supernatural life as God’s children. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I love you! In Jesus name, amen.
