Today’s prayer
Written prayerHeavenly father, I praise your holy name. As I gaze into your beautiful face I long to be a reflection of your love. My prayer is that you will see your son reflected through my life. When I look into clear smooth water I can see my face reflected, when I look into my fellow man I find they possess the same emotions, passions, and insecurities I have. I observe how others live as I go through my day. As I observe an individual's life I often see their heart reflected in their actions. Actions do speak louder than words and have a great impact on those around us. I often see in others so many things I have in myself. We are all bound together in the family of God and what we find in our own hearts we will often find in others – Both good and evil. Whatever are the distinguishing features of my own character I discover and elicit the same in others. Lord, purify my heart that I might draw the best out in others. Jesus had a pure heart and could see into the hearts of men their true intentions without judgment. I pray for your discernment and insight In jesus name, amen.
