Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, it takes a great deal of confidence in your divine protection to sleep out in the wilderness when you’re fleeing for your life. Jacob lay exposed with only a stone for a pillow, but he trusted in you, he didn't worry, and slept in perfect safety. Lord, teach me to have that kind of trust in your protection over me as I sleep tonight in the warmth of my bed. Help me understand that as long as you are with me, I do not have to be afraid and I can dwell in the safety of your loving arms. Thank you for being my mighty protector. Amen.
