Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, the wise men knew of the prophecy that the king-messiah would come out of the house of Jacob and rule over the children of men. The wise men saw a new bright star in the heavens as a sign of the fulfillment of that prophecy. They were excited to see the King of the Jews and followed the star in hopes it would lead them to this newborn King. It was an epic event and still is today. Even as the wise men came to worship the infant savior keep me in remembrance that Christmas is about worshiping the birth of the Christ child who came to save all mankind. Amen.
