Today’s prayer
Written prayerGod, I confess that at times I don’t feel Your presence. Intellectually I know Your promises, but there are moments when I feel distant from You, like a ship adrift in the open sea. The abyss is before me, and I feel helpless without an anchor. But I know the echoes of my desperate cries always reach You. Even when my heart is tossed to and fro, I know there’s an anchor for my soul. I know I will not always feel Your loving presence since my mind and heart can be fickle and weak, but I pray somehow You would reach me in my despair. Find me like a Shepherd to his lost sheep. As the night approaches, remind me that the dawn of Your love will always come. Bring me back to You. In Jesus’ Name, I believe and pray, amen.
