Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, It is comforting that even a mighty prophet like Elijah felt crushed and depressed. It is even more comforting that You tended to him gently, and restored him with comfort, connection, and calling. Minister to my heart in the same way. When I am at my lowest, would You meet me there? Would You comfort me in my despair? I always want to be honest with You. There is no hiding anything from You, so why lie or hide my feelings? Here I am, Lord! I am imperfect, struggling, and desperately need You. Restore me, Lord.
