Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, the times are very intense! We cannot know from day to day what direction to go at times. It is confusing. Sometimes I feel sick and do not think you are answering my prayers. Help me, Lord, to continue to trust you. It is tempting to turn to idols, and other ways of dealing with my problems because you take too long to answer my prayers. Lord, are you there? Do you hear me? Why are you so silent when I need to hear from you immediately? Do you not see that my situation is so critical? Do you really have the answers for me? But, Oh Lord, suddenly I sense some peace and then my heart hears your still small voice saying, “This way! This is the way to go!” Is that really you Lord? I think it is. I see my friends turning away from you when you don’t answer them right away. But you just quietly spoke to my heart to proceed in the way you are showing me. It is so comforting for me Lord! I do not want to fall from you nor follow false gods as some of my friends are doing. Some are even dying without you or your guidance. That frightens me Lord! I am such a child in you and need your encouragement when I call on you. But you seem to test my faith by making me wait. Help me to remain steadfast in you, my Lord!
