Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, I submit myself to you and refuse to call on any other false god! Preserve me, Lord, from falling from your favor and grace. My decision is made to follow you only. I fear to think of those who have turned from you, have worshiped false gods, and have succumbed to your judgment. My tears drop for them because they did not have to die that way. Oh Lord, my God, lead me to only learn from You put into my life. Help me to be humble and repent when I have done wrong or believed wrongly. And, help me, Lord, to encourage others to walk carefully and closely with you so we are not caught in disobedience. Please strengthen your leaders to stand against the manipulations of those who call on idols, and those who have turned to their own means. Look on the hearts of your servants, drawing them close to you at all times and convicting them of any deviation from you. Look on my heart Lord, keep me from the temptation of following a false prophet or leader because of their intoxicating words. I will always thank and glorify You, Lord, for being a Sheppard over your flock! In Jesus name, amen.
