Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, help me to always seek after your wisdom and instruction. I want to grow in stature just like Jesus did. I want to learn how to rightly divide the word of God so I can discern how to rule over darkness in this life as one of your children. Teach me how to submit to the wisdom of those who you place over me for correction, instruction, and protection. You have placed me in a congregation of believers and the pastor is the one who cares for and prays for me. I trust you to use them in my life to help me grow upright and strong under there leadership and teaching. Wisdom involves justice, and judgement, which brings fairness for all. You are the one who sees all and knows when things are not fair and just. You will move on my behalf in those circumstances and do for me what I cannot do for myself. Help me embrace the lessons that you teach me through the experiences I encounter in life. There is something to learn in everything I face. Remind me to always ask, What do you want to teach me, Lord instead of Why me, Lord? One strengthens me and the other moves me into a pitiful attitude that only defeats me. In Jesus name, amen.
