The prayer
Written prayerHeavenly Father, I exalt the name of Jesus above all names. His obedience to surrender his life unto death that I might live deserves my undying devotion. I rejoice in your goodness and declare that sin no longer holds sway over my life because of my savior’s obedience on the cross. I am dead to the power of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ who I symbolically died with in the waters of baptism. I am alive to God through my lord and savior Jesus Christ. I am free and have been fully liberated from the abhorrent design of sin in all its putrefying forms. You have made me clean Lord and I will live to serve you with a pure heart and renewed mind. Keep me from ever returning to the sins of my past and strengthen me each day to rise above this world's corruption. Teach me the wisdom of your ways and the loving compassion you extent to those in need. I rejoice in the power of your resurrection life that is granted to me as a child of the most high God. Let me join my voice with the angels as they sing Glory to the risen Lord. I love you Jesus and pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus my Lord, amen.
