Global Prayer on Mark 15:46-47

And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre. And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

The prayer

Written prayer

Father, thank you for always providing for our needs before we even ask. You sent a wealthy man to offer his own gravesite for Jesus to be buried in. He gently took him down off the bloody cross and cleansed him and wrapped him in the finest linen and laid him in the gravesite. The women took note of where they laid him so they might anoint him after the Sabbath. It was then that they discovered He had Risen! Lord, you are true to your word and told your disciples this is the purpose for which you came. You came to destroy the power of death and take back the keys that were lost when Adam disobeyed you in the garden. You will never forsake all those who trust in you or call upon your name. You delivered the savior from his suffering and he ascended into heaven. I will follow him into heaven after death and no longer experience the sufferings of this life. What joy to be with you Jesus as we rejoice throughout eternity. Jesus you were the first fruit of the resurrection and all those who believe in you will follow after you. You call me your own and I belong to you. I am part of the family of God that you delight in presenting to the father. I am humbled by that honor. In Jesus, name, amen.
