Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, you are the vine and I am the branch. I am an off shoot of your vine. Your vine flows life into my branch and I gain strength from my union with you. Without my vine-branch connection, I can do nothing. The flesh can manufacture and strive to accomplish good works, but there is no eternal value in those efforts. It is only in obedience to your Spirit that my efforts have value in your eyes or bring you glory. As I abide in you, I realize the supernatural fruits of your life are budding inside me. You are causing my new life in Christ to burst forth and bear much fruit. Amen.
