Global Prayer on Psalm 51:1

Lord, Thank you for your mercy and lovingkindness. It is your mercy that allows me to come humbly before you and ask for forgiveness for my fallings. Thank you that your mercies are new every morning. When I repent and ask for forgiveness you are willing to blot them out. It is your goodness that leads me to repentance. Without your loving kindness I would be afraid to approach you with my need for forgiveness. Your arms are open to embrace me. You give me strength to overcome my mistakes when I stumble along the way. I realize the painful consequences of my sins and never want to repeat those same mistakes. Amen.
