Midday Prayer on Acts 1:8

Dear God, I thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit working me and through me today. Thank You for the privilege of being Your witness—of testifying to Your love and Your light and Your life-transforming power. Thank You for enabling me to walk in Your good and perfect will, and to fulfill every one of the plans You have for me. I thank You that You promised You would never leave me or forsake me. I know that no matter where I am, or where I go, or what I get myself into, I am never alone. When I’m facing a trial— when I’m walking through a dark valley— Your Spirit is there, protecting me and defending me. You comfort me. You strengthen me. I can rest in Your love for me. I will not be defeated by the enemy. I will be victorious—I will triumph over every attack, every temptation or distraction he can throw at me. The heat that I take and the pressure that I face ends up serving me—shaping me into a diamond that shines brilliantly for Your glory. In all that I say and do today, help me point others to You. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
