Today’s prayer
Written prayerHeavenly Father,
So often we find ourselves trapped by the fleeting praise of men and the temporary treasures of this world. We confess that we sometimes perform our tasks half-heartedly, more concerned with human recognition than with Your divine approval. Yet, Your Word calls us to a higher standard—a life of wholehearted service that seeks to honor You in every deed, knowing that our true reward comes from You alone.
Father, in the mundane tasks and in the significant undertakings, let our work be an offering of love to You. May we never grow weary in doing good, for we know that You, who are both just and merciful, see the integrity of our hearts and will reward us accordingly. Teach us, Lord, to serve not only when eyes are upon us, but when we are alone, when the task is small, when the recognition is scant.
Incline our hearts to find joy in the act of service itself, knowing that we serve a Master who never overlooks our labor. We lay this prayer before You, our faithful God, trusting in Your unending love and grace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
