Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, we love because you first loved us. You revealed your love by sending your son to die in my place. You are love in its noblest form. When I realize how much you love me, I am reduced to tears. My ability to love, in comparison to the magnitude of your love, is infinitesimal. Let the fire of your love burn away the dross of my sin, and purify my heart. Expand my capacity to love sacrificially as you do. Help me surrender my selfishness, and stop trying to be right to prove myself to others. Help me rejoice when others are blessed and be grateful, they are growing in grace. Teach me to be content in you. Amen.
