Midday Prayer on James 4:6

Dear Lord, We come before You acknowledging how pride can harden our hearts and distance us from Your grace. Too often, we seek recognition, striving for control instead of surrender. Forgive us, Lord, for the ways we’ve exalted ourselves instead of exalting You. Teach us the beauty of humility—the kind that reflects Your heart. Help us to lay down our pride and trust in Your wisdom. Remind us that true greatness is found not in power, but in service; not in being seen, but in quietly doing Your will. May we walk humbly before You, seeking Your favor through obedience and compassion. When we are tempted to boast, turn our eyes back to You, the source of every good thing. Let our lives be marked by gentleness, gratitude, and grace. In humility, may we find Your peace and strength. Amen.
