Today’s prayer
Written prayerFather, it breaks my heart to see how the enemy has distracted so many with the foolishness of the world and blinded them from the truth. They are unable to recognize what is right in front of them. You walked among your people teaching the wisdom of God and revealing the power of love. You healed the sick and delivered the demon possessed. You spoke a word and the elements obeyed. You multiplied fish to feed the hungry crowds. You were right there in front of the multitudes and the world could not see the truth of who you were. If they had realized the truth they never would have crucified you. Satan has done a good job of seducing the people into pursuing the false gods of this world. He has put a lust for greed, and false enticements in front of them to burn their eyes with lies. They cannot hear the still small voice of love through the loud shouts of sin. You gave life to each person and made them in your image but they do not recognize the true source of their life. Help them father, to realize you are their only salvation. It is not in money, power, position, or relationships. It is in you and your son Jesus Christ, the baby born to save them. Without you they will continue to live in darkness. In Jesus name, amen.
