Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, I am eager to serve you! I still do not know what you want me to do. I can only ask you to give me wisdom in knowing how to carry out my responsibilities. I don’t ask for riches or fame, but rather for your grace to keep me close, submitted to You at all times. Please do not allow me to serve you in my own strength but only by the power of your Holy Spirit. I know Lord, “It is not by human strength, nor by human power, but only by Your Spirit” that your work is accomplished with the intended results. I have seen Lord, that by taking matters into my own hands the results are disastrous or certainly not brought to the glorious ends of “my desired accomplishment!” Lord, I claim neither glory nor fame by serving you. It is all for your glory. I want you to be seen in all that I do. Hold me close Lord; keep me from the pride that comes from compliments or promotion by others. Please give me wisdom to serve those whom you bring to me with your love and compassion. Thank You, Lord from the depths of my heart. I love You Lord! Amen.
