Midday Prayer on 1 Peter 4:8

Dear Lord, you are the source of all love and faithfulness. We confess how often we fail to love as you call us to. We hold back out of fear, protect ourselves instead of giving freely, and choose control over surrender. Yet your love is perfect and casts out fear. Teach us to love with courage—love that is loyal, generous, and willing to sacrifice. Help us bind our hearts to the people you’ve placed in our lives and reflect your faithfulness in every relationship. Shape us into people of covenant, whose lives point to your unfailing love. Amen.
