Weekly Wisdom: Staying on Track

Scripture

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

Devotional

To have a relationship with Jesus, He must be first in your life. God requires all of you — your heart, mind, and body. You can begin to compromise if you allow something or someone to come before God. These decisions can eventually weaken your faith.

To remain strong and steadfast, examine your motivations and seek God. If you are unsure of where your desires are, confess your sins to God and reach out to Him to receive the Holy Spirit’s discernment.

Jesus gave all of Himself for you on the cross. Ask Him for the ability to commit yourself to His service — entirely and willingly.

To remain faithful and true to God, He must come before everything else.

Let yourself decrease, and let Christ increase. Choose this day to live in obedience and relationship with God, and you will see God’s goodness and grace manifest in your life.

Prayer

Dear God, grant me serenity and peace. Thank You for Your guidance and for always offering protection in Your arms. Please guide my thoughts in the right direction so I can be ready for the challenges of tomorrow. Allow my mind to rest to make good decisions that produce productive results. Father, allow my heart to be flooded with Your presence so that I may be a reflection of You to each person that I encounter. Let me stay true to Your Word so that I can sleep soundly. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
