“Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.”
What hinders your relationship with God? Could it be pride—believing you can handle things on your own? Busyness—allowing other things to take priority or taking on too much? Or distractions—like TV, social media, or hobbies? If you’ve grown distant from God, He is waiting for you to come back and wants to be gracious to you. We know this because Jesus chose to die for us. His cross reminds us:God’s love is unconditional. (“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us...” Titus 3:5) Jesus paid for your sins. (And he is the propitiation for our sins...” 1 John 2:2) God doesn’t hold a grudge (“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12) No matter how far you’ve drifted, how messy your life is, or how dark your past is, you’re never too far gone to be saved by God. He’s waiting for you with open arms. Will you run to him today?
God, thank You for Your grace. When I am drifting away, you are always drawing me closer. Help me learn how to get close and stay close to You so I can fully live out the purpose You have for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
