Scripture
"And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness."
Devotional
God calls us to be bold in our faith, and His Word says that His Holy Spirit gives us the power to do so. Yet, many of us struggle with fear of rejection, so how do we receive the courage to share? First, we need a growing and close relationship with Jesus. Second, we must have complete confidence and trust in God. And finally, we rely on the Holy Spirit to speak through us. Jesus' disciples risked their lives to share the Good News with others, and as a result, multitudes received salvation. The same Spirit that the disciples had is within us.Psalm 118:6 states, "The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?" So let's live by God's Word and trust that His view of us is what truly matters. We have the power to bring many souls into eternal life!
Reflection
When's the last time you talked about Jesus with an unbeliever? Pray that God takes away any fear you may have and empowers you to share your faith with someone this week.
