“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;”
“I am accepted. I am approved. I am loved.” Have you ever heard these statements before? Sometimes it can be hard to accept these few words as true. If we believe the opposite of these statements, we will always try to find our identity in the wrong places.God has a great purpose for your life! If you feel anxious about the future or like you have somehow failed God, here is your reminder that Jesus speaks over you, “for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:8-10) Knowing your identity in Christ is the key to walking in authority. When you believe this, you are the greatest threat to the kingdom of darkness while, at the same time, being the greatest blessing to people around you. So today, remember this, no matter what you’ve done, God is not angry with you; He is madly in love with you.
Dear Lord, thank You for Your overwhelming love & grace for me today. Help me to remember that I am not what I’ve done but that my identity is found in You. You knew, called, and loved me before my mother’s womb. Help me to trust Your plan for my life & who You’ve made me to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.
