Scripture
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…”
Devotional
You are on a mission to share Jesus with the world and devote yourself to spreading the truth no matter the cost. To achieve spiritual growth, we must embrace the truth with love and live by it. We cannot experience the abundant blessings God has for us unless we accept and practice the objective truth found in His Word.
Here are three essentials about truth:
Truth is not based on personal opinions. It is objective and rooted in the unchanging reality of God's Word. While subjective statements vary and are influenced by personal preferences, objective truth remains constant.
Truth is revealed to us through Jesus. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." By the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we come to know and understand the truth. Human wisdom alone cannot reveal the depths of God’s truth to us.
Truth sets us free. Jesus declared that knowing the truth breaks the chains of lies and deception. The truth gives us clarity, direction, and a closer relationship with God. It frees us from the entanglements of sin and brings joy and gratitude into our lives.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the truth of Your Word and the love that You've shown us and showered upon us in Jesus. Help us to grow strong in our faith by receiving and walking in the truth of Your Word.
