It’s about God’s forgiveness of our sin debt through Christ and our forgiveness of the sin debt of others towards us. Here’s the message in a nutshell: Through Christ, you can forgive anyone for anything but it’s a journey in which reconciliation may or may not be possible. Is there unforgiveness in your heart towards anyone? Are you forgiven?
- 195Sufficient: Light of the WorldJesus is the Light of the World. When we find ourselves worn down by life’s journey, he refreshes us. He fills us with joy and gladness. He quenches our every thirst. He lifts us up when we feel broken, and he gives us his vision for life.
- 196Debt: Part OneUnless you understand how God has canceled your sin debt towards him through his son Jesus, you will never truly understand how to cancel the sin debt of others towards you. Are you the servant who was forgiven a big debt but went out and took his fellow servant by the throat for a small debt? Have you ever experienced the forgiveness of sins? Are you saved?
- 197Sufficient: Bread of LifeJesus is the Bread of Life. When we place our faith in him, he becomes our sustenance through life. He nourishes us before our darkest hours and through the longest wilderness. He leads us in the truth of God and reveals to us the wisdom of God. His very body that was placed in the tomb on Good Friday rose from the tomb on Easter Sunday. It was imperishable and immortal, not invisible and immaterial. But, if you do accept the invitation, don’t forget it’s a gracious gift. Dress appropriately. Your confession may get you in but it’s your clothing that will keep you in. Are you dressed in Christ’s righteousness?
- 200TodayGod has designed us to live in today. Dwelling on yesterday will only bring regrets and worrying about tomorrow will only bring anxieties. Thank God for yesterday, trust him with tomorrow, but live for him and through him today. Remember, sufficient for the day is its own trouble, and Jesus is sufficient for today.

- 202CornerstoneIn ancient times, the laying of the cornerstone was a big deal in the construction of a building. Depending on the significance of a structure, there would be animal sacrifices and special rituals. The Bible calls Jesus our Chief Cornerstone. It means that he sets the level and the angle of our lives. If he is where he needs to be in our life, everything else will work out fine. If he is not, nothing else matters. Are you bearing fruits worthy of God? Is Jesus your Cornerstone?
- 203Man of Promise: ConclusionMost of life is lived between promise believed and promise received. Unfortunately, it’s in this middle that life gets messy. Here in the middle, we must learn to patiently endure. When we do, we not only see God’s eternal plan of redemption, but we also see his plan in our lives.
- 204InheritanceJesus, our Good Shepherd, knows each of his sheep by name. You can pretend to be his sheep but there is a day of judgment coming when he will identify his own and the test will be acts of compassion done in his name. Those who belong to him will receive an inheritance but those who don’t will receive everlasting fire. Which ones are you? Are you the sheep or are you the goat? Will you receive an inheritance or will you go into the everlasting fire? Are you saved?
- 205Man of Promise: LaughterLife has a way of stealing our joy and laughter. In many lives and homes, things have happened that have turned off the switch of genuine laughter. With God’s grace, true joy and laughter can return in those lives. Jesus reminds us to “Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
- 206AbundanceUnlike earthly parents, God doesn’t want just the "change back". He wants us to make a profit with it by building his kingdom. In fact, Jesus has promised that He is returning soon and when He does, He will require an account of what we did with His money. Parables are like mirrors. They reflect who we are in the story. Are you the first two servants who doubled what their Master had given to them or are you the one who hid what was given? When Jesus returns, will he say to you “Well done, good and faithful servant” or will he call you a “Wicked and Lazy Servant?” Are you saved?
- 207Man of Promise: DeceivedGod’s plan always requires patience and faith. It’s human nature to take matters into our own hands and make a mess of things. Thank God that he even takes our messes and works them together for our good and his glory through Jesus Christ.

- 210WatchChrist is the bridegroom and we who believe in him are the wedding party. The groom has promised that he is coming but he hasn’t given us the exact time. We have to be prepared and we have to be watching. Are you prepared? Are you watching? Parables are like mirrors. When you peer into this wedding, what kind of a bridesmaid or groomsman are you? Are you ready and watching for the coming of Christ? Will he open the door for you or will he say “I do not know you”? Are you saved?
- 211Man of Promise: HeirDoubt is the Enemy’s choicest weapon against God’s people. He uses unanswered prayers to cause us to doubt God’s promises. God does not abandon us in our doubts. Instead, he reassures us that he will fulfill what he has promised. We are to trust him that he will work all things together for our good but in his timing.
- 212Sufficient: True VineJesus is the True Vine. Everyone that abides in him bears fruit. God the Father prunes and cultivates us in order that we may bear more fruit, and the “more fruit” is the tremendous harvest of souls, both Jewish and Gentile. He also removes the dead branches that appear to be connected to the vine but are not. - 213TreasureEarthly treasures cannot be permanently owned. What you treasure today will belong to someone else’s tomorrow. The only treasure that you can permanently own is what you put into heaven’s bank, the kingdom of God. Are you trusting in your riches? Are you saved? If tonight your soul is required of you, where will you go?
- 214Man of Promise: OrdinanceThe coming of the Man of Promise was under constant attack by the Enemy, directly and indirectly. But, every step of the way, God protected his plan and sent word of his confirmation. God’s people knew who to receive and who to reject, who was sent by God, and who was sent by the Enemy.
- 215ProduceA true neighbor is one who shows mercy. Mercy is a distinguishing mark of those who have eternal life. If you need proof that you have eternal life, ask yourself, “Are you a neighbor?” “Do you show mercy to others?” “When was the last time you showed mercy to someone?” Are you the priest who passed by the other side? Are you the Levite who also passed by the other side? Or, are you the Good Samaritan who stopped and showed mercy? Are you a merciful person? Are you saved? If you need proof of eternal life, check your mercy record.
- 216Man of PromiseThe coming of Jesus was not some random event 2000 years ago. It was promised, expected, and opposed by the Enemy throughout history. At times, the plan appeared almost buried under the sands of time, but God had his hand on it, and in his timing, he brought the plan to fulfillment
