Unless the Holy Spirit has renewed your mind by what you believe, you will behave as you’ve always behaved. In other words, between belief and behavior, there is the becoming by the transformation of the mind through the Holy Spirit.
- 417Gospel-CentricWith the gospel, there are people who are so consumed with the gospel that they can’t help but talk about it all the time. They love sharing the gospel. They are gospel-centric. When you are around such people, you become just like them. You also become gospel-centric.
- 418God's Calling CardThis is the third message in our Christmas series titled "Believing is Seeing." Jesus told those who opposed Him that Moses wrote about Him. In this message, we look back to Exodus and the name that God gave Israel and how it is nearly identical to how we are introduced to Jesus. Do you understand that Jesus is the source of everything you need in your daily life? Do you know that to know Him is to know the Father? Have you called on Him for salvation?
- 419The Soul-MultiplierWhen we picture a Christian today what do we think of? A man sitting on a pew? A man in prayer? A fisherman? The early Church were all fishermen, but not with actual fish. They were fishers of men. They went out with the gospel and cast their nets to see who they could catch. Jesus made it very clear that this is what we are supposed to do. We are called to make disciples. Have you caught any fish lately? When was the last time that you won a soul to Jesus? Did you know that God wants you to catch a net full of souls in your lifetime? By the way, before you can catch, you have to be caught. Have you ever been caught in the net of God’s amazing grace? Are you saved?

Any time grace and truth are present, it is the presence of Christ, whether in Scripture or in your own life. If you want to find Jesus, look for grace and truth in perfect balance.

In this message, we examine how the Trinity relates to parenting and children. In our culture, obedience from children has become optional. This was never how it was meant to be. Do you understand your role as a parent? As a child, are you honoring your parents? Are you saved?

Sinai as well as His mercy in sparing in spite of their unrighteousness. Moses wrote about Jesus who would be the better mediator between God and His people, the perfect Prophet, and the One who would rescue humanity from sin. Do you understand the powerful holiness and mercy of God? Do you have comfort and joy in your life? Are you saved?

So often, people say they want to follow Christ but are held back by the trivial and temporary things of this world. Jesus tells us through these three encounters with potential followers that we must forsake other things and follow Him wholeheartedly. Are you ready to leave behind the graveyard of excuses? Do you want to follow God's will for your life in 2017? Are you saved?

This carries the idea of being slow to anger but also of waiting patiently for someone to get where they need to be. Are you showing love in such a way that people feel calm around you? We come to the end of Paul's description of love in 1 Corinthians 13 and we find the phrase "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails." When you truly love someone, it brings them a sense of freedom, knowing that you will always cover and support them. Do people feel liberated by you or do they feel like a prisoner? Do you understand the freedom we have in God's love for us? Are you saved?

In this message, we come to the phrase "does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth." There is a part of our hearts that we will never talk about that is actually happy when we see others fail. It is part of our sinfulness. However, through God's love working within us and through us, we can actually be purified of that sinful joy when others fall short. Not only that, but we will begin to applaud the good we see in them. How do you see others? Do you celebrate when people fail or do you praise the good in them? Are you saved?
