These people have been shocked, stunned, and numbed by the terrible events that have taken place in their lives. They can hardly take in what has happened to them and they sit in silence for the first four chapters. It is not easy to pray when something so devastating has come into your life.
- 2Hope and HealingWe have looked at four themes in our series on this book of Lamentations, which is a gift from God for all who grieve. Today we come to our third pair of themes – hope and healing. The word ‘hope’ is found four times in the book of Lamentations, and all of them are in the verses that are before us today.
