Evening Prayer on James 4:6

Dear Heavenly Father, We come to You in humble supplication, acknowledging Your grace and mercy. You have called us to resist the spirit of pride and remain in a state of humility at all times. We seek to be humbled before You, recognizing our many sins and shortcomings. We desire Your grace and mercy in abundance, knowing that it is only through Your love that we can find true peace and joy. So we thank You for the blessing of grace, that You have given us the opportunity to remain in a state of humility, having faith that You will love us in spite of our flaws. We pray for a spirit of gratitude and thankfulness, knowing that it pleases You when we are humble before You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
