Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord! You love me, not because I earned it or did any great thing to convince You to even want me in Your kingdom! When I realized I was a sinner and was born this way I did not know how to remove the sin in my life that makes me think and do horrible things. But your love drew me to the cross of Jesus Christ and I accepted his forgiveness and asked him to be the Lord of my life. You taught me about grace and what the unmerited favor of God is. There is nothing I can do to make you love me anymore than you do right now. I can’t believe you love a sinner like me and have washed me clean and made me want to be a whole new person, I am grateful for the Holy Spirit who is teaching me and directing me to understand your word. Your love washed the sin-desires away so I don’t want to obey them any longer. It is truly overwhelming me LORD. It is a real gift from you and it's hard for me to feel worthy enough to receive and believe this miracle of your love. All I can do now is praise You, love You, worship You, wake up each day with a fresh new clean feeling, and tell others how wonderful you are. Thank you my glorious savior, in Jesus name, amen.
