Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, I thank you for the covenant you made with your children to protect them from falling into the enemies hands because of disobedience again. You are their deliverer and brought them out of bondage for your name sake. You heard their cries and when they were liberated you made a covenant with them and gave them your commandments. These tables of stone were the wisdom of God for your people to live by. Lord, I pray that You will strengthen me to never allow anything to compete with Christ's exalted position in my life and never allow anyone to be elevated above my loving Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for the many lessons I can learn from the history of Israel - the things to avoid; the way to behave; the need to trust Your word; the importance to hold fast to the truth; and the blessing to be guided by Your Spirit. I pray that, day-by-day, I may call to remembrance Christ's saving work on the cross and within my heart. I do not deserve your grace, nor do I deserve to have my sin-debt freely paid for me. Heavenly Father, Your love has no boundaries and I am eternally grateful for your gracious mercy and loving-kindness, which is new every morning! I adore You, I love You, I worship You, I thank You with my entire heart for all You have provided for me to live in Your presence. Thank You in Jesus' name, amen.
