Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, You are the God who holds both our grief and our hope. You see us when sorrow breaks our strength, and You meet us in the dust where mourning lives. We confess how little we understand Your timing. We long for victory yet often walk through valleys marked by loss. In these moments, steady our hearts. Give us courage not only to face grief, but to resist the urge to seize what is not ours or to move ahead of Your will. Keep us from grasping for crowns built on another’s fall. Shape us through mourning so our hearts grow deeper, not harder. Let sorrow refine our faith, not erode it. And when You lift us into new seasons, may we step forward with humility, reverence, and gratitude. Amen.
