Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, there are times when I get resentful because no one seems to notice what I do either at work or at home. Forgive me for looking to others to affirm my efforts. You see everything I do, and my desire is to give you honor. I want to serve you with excellence as well as others; even if they don’t acknowledge my efforts. I know you see my heart and what I do. Help me keep that in mind the next time I start to feel sorry for myself when no one notices my efforts or takes them for granted. You, Lord, take nothing for granted, and reward even the smallest efforts. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
