Global Prayer on Judges 13:21

But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.

Judges 13:21 · KJV

Today’s prayer

Written prayer

Father, you have surrounded us with angels that are seen and unseen. You have called us to be kind to strangers because they might be angels that have come to bless us. Manoah did not know that the man he and his wife were speaking to was really the angel of the Lord until he was gone. Help me to be spiritually sensitive to the moving of your holy spirit. Don’t let me take things for granted and get so caught up in my agenda that I miss yours. Open my eyes so I can see the light of your son in every person I encounter each day. Give me the grace to love them as you do. As I continue to reflect on your kindness I want to extend your kindness to others, even to the angels you send my way. If I treat each person like an angel sent from heaven, what a wonderful life this would be. Unfortunately, Lord, I miss the mark each day when I focus on my frustration and get distracted from my true purpose here. That purpose is to be a light that shines into darkness and points all people to you. I pray these things in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
