Dear Lord, There are moments when the world feels driven by fury instead of justice, when power rises to avenge wounds rather than protect the innocent. We confess our confusion and our fear. You are not like us—you do not need rage to act or violence to rule. Teach us to discern where Your justice is at work and where pride has twisted it. Cleanse our hearts, for our hands are not always pure. Help us long not for vengeance, but for restoration. Shape us into people who hunger for mercy even as we cry out for what is right. And when the chaos settles, may we continue to pray, hope, and watch for Your peace. Amen.
