Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, I thank you that you never slumber or sleep and are always working on my behalf. When Adam was asleep, you did a deep work in him and brought forth his wife Eve. You did for Adam what he could not do for himself. When my natural body is quiet in rest, you are actively refreshing my Spirit and bringing forth solutions to the many challenges that face me. You revitalize my mind and body and I wake with renewed hope. When I try to make things happen in my strength, I usually screw things up. When I rest and let you provide you do exceedingly beyond my expectations-like you did for Adam. Amen
