Written prayerHeavenly Father, it saddens me to think of the savior of the world being born in a manger because there was no room for him in the comfort of the inn. The humble birth of your Son was offensive to those who thought the King of Glory would come in power and majesty. His lowly birth shows me how much you identify with the least of humanity. You came to love them and relieve their oppression. You came to heal them and give them a future and a hope. You came to restore their dignity. The world is ruled by power, lust, and greed, but your kingdom is ruled by love, compassion and mercy. Bless your holy name. Amen.
