Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, there are times when the weight of my circumstances makes me feel like I am being punished for displeasing you. Help me understand that correction is not punishment, and you are not a punitive God. I am your child, and you love me, unconditionally. You are teaching me the ways of your kingdom and restoring me to right relationship with you. Correction only seems heavy for a moment, but it will release new freedom and joy to me as I continue to learn the power of your truth. You desire to bless me, not harm me. I trust you for your best when I don't always understand. Amen.
