Midday Prayer on Proverbs 27:6

Dear Lord, We thank You for the gift of friendship. We are grateful that in all our relationships we can come to You for guidance. We ask that You help us to be humble and open to the advice of our friends who love us enough to rebuke us when needed. Help us, Dear Lord, to be wise in the advice we listen to and accept it. We pray that You keep us from giving in to flattery from those with hidden motives and ill-intent. Let us not be naive but rather remember Your words of wisdom.
