Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, I confess your ways are not my ways and I don’t often understand why you do things the way you do. But, I trust your wisdom over mine any day so I am obedient to what I feel you are whispering in my ear. I’ve learned to risk being wrong to find out if I am right as I grow in your grace. If I were Joshua I might have questioned how walking around Jericho for seven days with trumpets and the Arc of your covenant could win a fortified city. Yet, on that seventh day when they shouted a miracle happened! The walls of the city tumbled down and they marched right in and won the battle. When I put you first and trust in the wisdom of your ways, even when I don’t understand, my obedience calls forth your favor. And your favor brings forth your miracle working power. Being up against a fortified enemy needs more than just force and steel to shatter the stronghold. It needs your divine intervention and wisdom. As I seek your face in all that I am confronted with, you will do exceedingly more abundantly than I could ever imagine. You are the commander in Chief of all the angel armies and the sovereign Lord full of might and power. Nothing is impossible for you. I pray all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
