Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, when you call me to accomplish a great mission on your behalf my flesh cries in fear. I feel inadequate for the task and feel so overwhelmed I want to run away. Rightly so, in my own ability I will fail. I cannot trust in my flesh for it becomes puffed up and prideful. I must always remember God is the one who wants to live his life through me. When Moses questioned God about why Israel would believe him, when he told them he came to deliver them from their bondage. God told him to say, ‘tell them I AM hath sent me unto you.’ I AM says it all. It means you are the self-existent one – the eternal, uncreated God. You just are and always have been. You're the beginning and the end, and the ultimate truth. You are the God of the universe and you sent Moses for this specific purpose. Wow! What a powerful encounter with almighty God. The only way I can do anything for you is if I know I AM has given me a word, direction and confirmation. I must know specifically that you have sent me to accomplish something on your behalf. As long as you are with me I know you will provide and protect me. You will sustain me as the great I AM. Lord, empower me with your wisdom and strength. Give me the courage to say Yes, Lord, send me, in Jesus name, Amen.
