Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, the night is usually a time for pondering the more profound things of life. What is my purpose? Where am I going? Who and what do I truly believe in? Tonight and every night, I want my meandering thoughts and philosophical wanderings held within the parameters of Your truth. I want all roads to lead back to You. With each passing night, I earnestly desire to consider Your goodness, meditate on Your word, and praise You for Your wonderful deeds. As the Psalms always point me towards Your glory, I pray my thoughts would be like highways to Your kingdom. With every high and low of my life, I pray my heart would always be tethered to You. Keep my heart, mind, soul, and will safe under Your embrace. As I sleep tonight, and every night after, may Your peace be like a river refreshing my soul. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
