Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, finding the child the prophets foretold of must have been an epic experience for those wise men. They knew a deliver was coming to save Israel, and when the star appeared, it was their sign. They followed it as it moved across the sky until it perched over the stable where Jesus was born. What an exceedingly joyous event it must have been, to come face to face with prophetic destiny. Lord, help me never take my faith and what Jesus did for me for granted. His birth, death and resurrection are the good news that is easily trampled by the commercialism of Christmas. Keep me humble with a kind words to share with others. Amen.
