Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, Patience has never been my strong suit. I wanted everything yesterday. When I am patient, I feel life is passing me by, and I should do something to make things happen. That is why you are using patience to teach me obedience and deeper levels of trust in you. When I wait, help me to be cheerful and of good courage, and not a petulant child pouting and grumbling why it’s taking so long. Your teaching me so many things in this process of waiting on your perfect timing. Your stretching my faith and strengthening my trust in you. Help me grow into full maturity so you can trust me, even as I learn to trust you. Amen.
