Midday Prayer on Philippians 4:8

Dear Heavenly Father, We confess that sometimes our thoughts get tangled up in worries, complaints, and the less-than-lovely things of life. Yet, Your Word calls us to a higher path than complaints. So today we ask for a delightful dose of Your divine perspective. Help us to see the world through Your eyes, noticing the noble, focusing on the fun, and pondering the praiseworthy. Grant us the grace to laugh at our mistakes, to find joy in simple pleasures, and to celebrate the countless excellent things that surround us. From the beauty of a sunset to the taste of a well-cooked meal, may our minds be filled with the lovely gifts You provide. In the joyful and loving name of Jesus, we pray. Amen!
