The prayer
Written prayerHeavenly father, you are compassionate, loving, and merciful. There is no one as beautiful and kind as you. Your desire is not to see anyone perish. Nothing is impossible for you. Thank you for your patience and long-suffering, Lord. No one can ever accuse you of not giving everyone an opportunity to turn from their sins. If anyone, no matter what they have done, wants to turn over a new leaf and live in accordance with your law you will receive them. Your mercy will never turn away anyone who sincerely repents. The thief on the cross knew he deserved punishment and that Jesus was innocent. He said, “Remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And Jesus granted him acceptance to be with him in paradise. No one is beyond the reach of your love. It is your goodness that shows me the hardness of my heart. If people understood your goodness this world would be a different place. Accept my heart of adoration for all you have done and are doing to soften hearts to receive you. Let your grace blanket this earth with your love and bring healing to the hearts of men that they might know you. In Jesus name, amen.
