Written prayerWhat a wonderful image Lord, a city-bride all decked out in splender for her waiting husband. I am part of Christ ‘s church and it is his desire to interact with me personally as he does with his church. The church is the glorious bride of Christ clothed in meekness and loving obedience to him. She glistens with an array of multifaceted “living”jewels. This New Jerusalem descending from heaven is the triumphant church wholly surrendered to you Lord. She is completely in love with you and keeps your commandments. She has eyes for you alone and her heart belongs to you. You are her delight and greatest passion. She is humbled before you in admiration. She is the most beautiful of brides, dressed in purity as she makes her way to her beloved. She is eager to be united with her bridegroom in their everlasting covenant of love. Her bridegroom tenderly embraces her with loving arms and promises to never leave her. She is his beloved and he will always protect and provide for her every need. All remembrance of any former trouble will be forgotten. All the shed tears and sorrows will no longer remain. All things are made new. He has longed for this day when he is eternally united in his covenant of love with his beloved bride. Yes, Lord I long to be surrendered completely to you with eyes for you alone. You are my heart's desire and greatest passion. In Jesus name, amen.
