Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, I am so happy I can come to You and know you hear me and if I know you hear me I know you will answer me. When I am facing a difficult situation I feel panic rising in my emotions. I start to obsess about what to do and try and fix the problem. You have said I need to be still and hold my peace and let you fight my battles for me. You fought for Moses when he had to lead 6000 people out of egypt. It takes a disciplined spirit and a great deal of faith to trust that you will do what I can’t do for myself. I am so used to fighting for myself it’s hard for me to let go and let you. I know you can but I wonder if you will. I’m just being honest and I am sorry for my lack of faith. Quiet my spirit Lord, and teach me to praise you when I am in difficult straits. The only way I will know I can totally trust you is to hold my peace and wait on you as your word says. I will pray and worship and rejoice in all things for I know you are building me up in your most holy faith. You are faithful Lord, and I will trust you and I will see your hand move in the land of the living on my behalf, in Jesus name, amen.
